Some believe the best time to sell is the spring because there are more buyers in the market.
Others believe that when interest rates start to climb, buyers will want to jump into the market before rates get any higher to lock in at a lower rate.
Or possibly it’s when interest rates seem to have bottomed out.
Maybe it's when the slow season starts and the buyer’s choices in the supply of homes on the market decrease thereby allowing for less seller competition.
Or how about in the summer, since buyers want to be in before school. But can a buyer and seller move that quickly?
All of the above assumptions have validity.
However, there are no scientifically proven results for the best or worst time of the year to sell your home. In the spring the activity is busier as there are more buyers in the market but there are also more sellers, which equalizes supply and demand. In the winter there are fewer buyers but fewer sellers, which also equalizes supply and demand. (I have found winter buyers to be the most serious buyers). Therefore, as there are pros and cons for selling at all times of the year, my opinion of when the best time to sell is;
WHEN YOU ARE READY TO SELL!
